Large-format laser marking machines are mainly aimed at customers with large-area marking needs. Large-area laser marking machines need to be customized, because the area is different, the laser used for the workpiece material is different, and the power intensity is also different according to the process requirements.
At present, there are four main types of large-format laser marking machines commonly seen in the market: large-format lens-type laser marking machines, XY electric platform splicing laser marking machines, dynamic large-format laser marking machines, and large-format non-splicing platform lasers. Each marking machine has its own shortcomings, and the applicable scenarios are also different.
1. Large-format lens laser marking machine (commonly used)
This way of working is to achieve large-format laser marking by changing the lens, and it is also a commonly used large-format. We all know that the working range of a conventional lens is generally 100*100mm, and then it is 160*160mm, and then it is 200*200mm. The larger lenses on the market can generally be 400*400mm and 600*600mm. It is very rare, but it can also be customized if required. Here are a few things to keep in mind with this way of working:
- First test whether the power of the laser can meet your requirements, because once the range is increased, the energy from the power of the laser to the processing surface will become smaller, and the depth requirement must be met first;
- The larger the lens, the larger the focal length, and the stroke of the lifting column must be increased, which must be satisfied;
- Simple and effective, low cost, basically only need to replace the lens;
However, the disadvantages of this marking are also very obvious, as follows:
- If the format becomes larger, the energy becomes weaker and the marking lines become thicker;
- As the dispersion angle of the lens increases, the edge will be slightly deformed, and the larger the lens, the greater the edge distortion. All lenses currently on the market have the same problem once the scope is large.
2. XY electric platform splicing laser marking machine
This method is to move the platform first after marking a range, and then mark the next part; then move again, and then mark the next part, move multiple times, mark multiple times, and finally splice into a large format.
In theory, this method can be infinitely large, as long as you have this requirement;
The lines are relatively fine, because the format of the field mirror used in this way is relatively small, so the marking lines will be fine, not as thick as the marking of large-format field mirrors; however, the biggest disadvantage of this working method is:
- Due to the accuracy error of the mobile platform, there may be a phenomenon that the splicing cannot be done or the stitching can be observed by the naked eye! If you want to splice well, you must use a high-precision platform, which is also very expensive.
- Due to the way of collages, it is necessary to use the method of multi-document marking, and the pictures need to be processed well. If the processing is not good, they will also not be spliced.
- Some control cards do not support jigsaw puzzles, you need to confirm whether the control card supports it first.
- If you do a lot of graphics processing, some control cards are easy to get stuck. When purchasing, you should pay attention to whether the standard system control card configuration is a genuine high-quality control card.
3. Dynamic large format laser marking machine
Dynamic large-format laser marking uses the lens in front of the moving front focusing mirror to achieve within the range of the format, and the focus spot at each point is the same thickness, so that within the range of the oscillating mirror, it can automatically adjust to a certain focus. , so as to meet the requirements of large-format laser marking. This method is generally applicable to CO2 laser marking machines, while fiber laser marking machines seldom use this method. In the industry, we generally call it the method of adding a voice coil motor. . The biggest advantage of this method is that the edge of the large format is not deformed, and each beam of light from the laser can theoretically achieve the same thickness, so as to achieve fine marking and fast marking speed. In addition, this method does not require a lens , just add a protective lens. However, this dynamic method is a complete system, including galvanometer + control card + software. The price is much more expensive than ordinary galvanometers, and the spot diameter is slightly larger than that of XY platform splicing.
4. Large-format flat-bed laser marking machine without splicing
This method is currently a rare working method (servo motor control) on the market. The entire large format is realized by the XY platform moving while marking during the marking process. It can completely achieve no splicing gaps and the speed is fast It is faster, the power required for the laser will not be increased, and the lines are finer. Looks like a perfect way to mark large format, happy not? However, this kind of control card is relatively expensive, and the speed and precision of the XY platform are also very high. It is suitable for scenes that require high precision. For ordinary requirements, it is better to use the lens or splicing method.
